Aspire Sessions

Haltemprice leisure centre runs Aspire sessions for children and young people aged 5 – 12 years with any disability or additional need. Your child does not need to have a diagnosis to attend.  Please click on the link below for more information about the sessions.

Disability Swimming Sessions

A number of leisure centres offer disability swimming session at a cost.

Support for my child in the swimming pool

If your child needs support to be able to go in the swimming pool please speak to the leisure centre before you are thinking of going for a swim.

Staff training and experience

Swim teachers are trained on how to integrate disabled swimmers into the mainstream environment. There are fully trained lifeguards on-site at all times.

Passport to Leisure Card

A passport to Leisure card is for all parent carers who are registered with LOOK AHEAD (all those aged over 18 years living in the same household can also apply). This card is free to apply for and entitles you to 50% discount for some leisure centre sessions.
