We are pleased to inform families that applications will be accepted for FASP for the year 2017-18 from 3 April 2017 to 30 June 2017. Any applications received after 30 June 2017 will not be considered.

Further to our previous information bulletin, we can confirm that the criteria and process for the Freedom Activity Support Payment for 2017/2018 will not be reduced and will remain at the 2016/17 level.

FASP is a one off, personal budget of up to £400 which may be available to families living in the East Riding to support a disabled child/young person who’s special educational needs/ disabilities (SEND) prevents them from accessing age appropriate social and leisure activities.  It is really up to the families how the money is used but it must be to enable their child to access age appropriate social and leisure activities.

Any parents who have already submitted an application for 2017/18 do not need to re-apply as their application will be assessed under the 2016/17 criteria.
